Immunologist/Oncologist (Job Code: CTi Job 21.02)
We have multiple immediate open positions for scientists with immunology and/or cancer immunology background and training. Title (from entry level research scientist to Principal Investigator) and compensation commensurate with experience and qualification. Responsibilities/Job description
The candidate will function as an integral member to lead and conduct in vitro and in vivo mechanism of drug action/pharmacology studies to support compound selection, IND enabling , and IND filing. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, execute and/or supervise CRO for mechanism of action investigation of small molecule drug candidates in in vitro immunological characterization and function assays using primary immune cells, and in vivo using immune-oncology animal models
- Phenotypic/immunological analysis of gene knock-out/knock-in mice for target validation and MOA
- Establish ex vivo culture and assay platform of primary cancer cells and normal immune cells for in vitro pharmacodynamic studies
- Perform in vitro and ex vivo molecule and cellular expression and function analysis of the drug target genes in tissue culture, animal model system, and in human primary immune cells and human malignant tissue/cells
- Collaborate with others in Molecular biology and Screening, and in DMPK and CROs in a multidiscipline environment to meet overall corporate R&D objectives
Education/Experience Requirements:
- PhD in Immunology, or related life science disciplines with 3+years post-doctoral work experience, preferably in an industrial setting
- A strong background and deep understanding of T cell biology, antigen presentation, and tumor immune escape mechanisms and a knowledge of signal transduction in tumorigenesis, cell growth and apoptosis a must
- Expertise in working with immune systems, such as using FACS analysis, in vitro manipulation of Primary T cells, and working with animal models, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications. Work experience with immune-oncology animal models a plus
- Knowledge and work experience of gene expression analysis and protein modification in signal transduction pathways, using techniques such as qPCR, immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry
- Exhibit quick learning ability to new techniques and adjust to new technical challenges, and be analytical and innovative
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details and ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, and with scientific leadership and project management potentials
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively and clearly explain results to other team members

We are currently hiring a Research Associate with experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and bioassays to join our in vitro pharmacology team.
Responsibilities/Job description
The candidate will function as an integral member to support compound SAR activities.
- Mammalian cell culture maintenance, cell transient and stable transfection with non-viral vector, establishment of stable cell lines
- Perform research using standard molecular biology techniques including techniques for protein lysate preparation and nucleic acid purification, Western-blotting, PCR and qPCR, Immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Fluorescence microscopy, and standard statistical analysis
- Perform flow cytometry analysis and other immunology-based assays
- Support High-throughput compound screening
Education/Experience Requirements:
- BA, BS, or MS in biological science, biotechnology, or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in academic, biotech or pharma bench research environment.
- Basic understanding of molecular and cellular biology and immunology assay principles and exhibit quick learning ability to new techniques.
- Ability to follow an established experimental protocol and deliver reliable data is a must.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to details, and good experimental record-keeping. Familiarity with scientific databases and electronic lab notebooks is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and Prism Graphpad software for data analysis and graphing, and presentation
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively and clearly explain results to other team members.
